Our feature is based on a film short by the same name, released in 2015. Like the feature, the 18-minute short follows a young man with severe OCD as he searches for love and acceptance. Unlike the feature, the short focuses on a single blind date, with a smaller cast and a very different ending.
The short played at 37 international film festivals, winning 11 awards along the way. The overwhelmingly positive response convinced us to turn the short into a feature, answering the question that people kept asking: What happened to Jared and Katie after their date?
